Physicians-
Extraordinary Ability
If it can be
established that a green card applicant is an accomplished physician
it is possible to obtain a green card in a category entitled "aliens
of extraordinary ability". In order to qualify in this category
it must be established that the:
- Physician
possesses extraordinary ability in the sciences/medicine which
has been demonstrated by sustained national or international acclaim
and whose achievements have been recognized in the field through
extensive documentation;
- Physician
seeks to enter the United States to continue work in the area
of extraordinary ability; and,
- Physician's
entry into the United States will substantially benefit prospectively
the United States.
In order to
qualify for a green card in this category it must be established
that the physician has reached a level of expertise indicating that
he is one of that small percentage who has risen to the very top
of his field of medicine. It will also need to be established that
the physician will be coming to the United States to work in his
field of expertise.
