E Visas are available
to citizens of specific countries and are granted for the purpose of operating
a business in the United States. There are two types of E visas the:
- E-1 Treaty
Trader Visa
- E-2 Treaty Investor
Visa
The E-1 Treaty
Trader Visa will permit a business owner or essential employee to
enter the United States:
....solely to
engage in trade of a substantial nature
principally between the United States and the applicant's country of
nationality. The trade involved must be an international exchange of
goods
or services between the U.S. and a treaty country...
The E-2 Investor
Visa will permit an investor or essential employee to enter
the United States:
...solely to
develop and direct the operations of an active
enterprise in which you have invested, or of an enterprise in which
you are
actively in the process of investing, a substantial amount of capital...
